The Private Eye - looking closely and thinking by analogy with jeweler's loupes and inquiry method for hands-on interdisciplinary science, art, writing, math, and more

Train-the-Trainers

Orange County Public Schools (OCPS), Orlando Florida, is the latest district
to choose The Private Eye Train-the-Trainers model for accelerating critical and creative thinking with the interdisciplinary power of The Private Eye.

The district is one of the largest in the nation with almost 180,000 students and over 10,000 teachers. Under the stewardship of Linda Dove, Curriculum Director, and as part of a district-wide initiative, we trained fifteen Master Trainers. Their goal, over the coming years, is to train lead teachers from every school in the district. The lead teachers will, in turn, bring The Private Eye process to the teachers and students in their school.

The new Master Trainers represent Instructional Support Specialists from all content areas and all grade levels. Here they are with us (in the thick of it!). Trainers (not in order): Susan Beecher, Linda Dove, Molly Malloy, Mariel Milano, Vicky Hepler, Patty Goonen, Diane Gordon, Kim Paschall, Kelley Raybon, Ashley Sherman, Tikini Thompson, Cathy Rivera, Terri Varn, Joan Walker, and Joanne Yates.
